Oyo state Director of National Orientation Agency, Dr Olukemi Afolayan has exhorted Nigerian youths to see education as a pathway to fulfilling their dreams optimally.

 

She stated this while featuring on a radio programme “ijoba Awarawa” this morning on Solution fm, Ibadan anchored by Aderemi Adegboyega.

 

In the no holds barred interview, Dr Afolayan spoke on diverse issues that pertains to re working of our moral fibres and attitudinal re-orientation as patriotic citizens in order to move the country forward.

 

In a release made available to the press in Ibadan by the media unit of the Agency shortly after the programme.

Dr Afolayan further counselled the youths not to loose focus by disparaging the essence of education. Dr Afolayan reiterated that “the only way people can be liberated from the pangs of poverty is education.”

 

She noted that talents combine with good education will always make a big difference, therefore good education can not be wished away in whatever we do”

 

The state Director reiterated the Agency is reaching out to the people through different stakeholders on values reorientation and attitudinal change for national development.

 

Dr Afolayan highlighted that the reduction in electoral violence, void votes, post election litigation etc in Oyo state are achievable due to various pre and post elections campaigns mounted by the Agency.

 

On the issue of mass exodus of people from the country that has become a fad, the State Director cautioned the citizens not to travel out through unlawful means.

She tasked Nigerians to uplift the country and think of how they will make it a viable nation rather than leaving in droves.

 

The State Director signed up on the note of optimism that there are signs that the present administration led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will empower the Agency to enhance its deliverables.
