The Sultan of Sokoto and President General Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Muhammed Sa’ad Abubakar III has described the premier University of Ibadan as the first and the best in the country and beyond.
Sultan made this known during the institution 75th foundation day celebration and the convocation ceremony.
According to him, there is no doubt about the leading position of the institution in academic and beyond in raising souls that continuosly making the country great.
He further emphasize that, university of Ibadan position in global community is beyond what any can contend with as the institution has toil with honesty and integrity of over her year of existence.
He urged that university education should not be solely about learning but must be about learning and character as to reflect the norms of the society. That should be the core part ofarruig that town with the gown.
