In a build up to a robust economy of the state, rail transportation system, Governor of Oyo state, Sen. Isiaka Abiola Ajimobi and Minister Of Transportation Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi has exchanged Inland Dry Port letters between the Oyo state and the federal government.

It should be recalled that it was earlier reported (https://thetrailblazer2204.blogspot.com/2019/04/ibadan-set-to-own-two-dry-ports-at.html) that Ibadan set to own two dry ports, and one of it is kicking off for operation, following the exchange of letters between the two tiers of government. The significant and important that neccesitate the creation of the port is that, incoming containers will be shipped to Ibadan, discarged and processed to limit congestion in Lagos – Apapa Port.

 

The China Railway Construction Corporation Limited (CRCC) has set aside $250 million to build Ibadan Dry Port, according to the company.
