The management and participatory students of Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin are full of grace and thankful for the initiative of the Brain Builders Youth Development Initiatives (BBYDI) for counting the institution and the students among the beneficiary of their digital raining program which was to informed and equipped students of various discipline of the task ahead of them after school.
The training which was to cushion the effect of unemployment and underemployment on the part of many graduates.
To fill the missing gap on the few employment opportunities available with the numerous job seekers, it is important for university and other higher institutions of learning students to get themselves equipped with necessary digital skills, as to be at the top edge of others.
Olasupo during the training on how to use digital knowledge and skills to create employment and make earning while in school emphasize that, there is no shortcut to success in life, other than learning and relearning, and one reason why the training was put up to get people on board with digital skills.
“There are many digital tools you all can use to up-skill from the one we’re doing here. I will be reeling out the websites to further the training for better gain and be ahead of others you’re competing with in the global market.”
The training has 203 participants; 145 male and 58 female students.
Speaking to our correspondence after the training is Babatunde AbdulHafees, “The training was awe inspiring. I enjoyed the three hour session. I can’t wait to get my certificate and register for the course online.”
Also Opeloyeru Adam, “The trainer was more than an expert. He answered my question on Digital Marketing. I can’t wait for all the lessons to be practical.”
And, Aliyu Suleiman “I can now differentiate between a blogspot and a normal website. I got inspired by the Google My Business idea. I can’t wait to explore. Thank you Sanstonz and Google.”
