The journey which began precisely July 1, 2022 with an official handing over by RTN Francis Ijidale (the serve to change life) at the public investiture on July 2 , 2022 has come to an end as Rotarian Adekemi Oyepeju Akinpelu hands over to new President of Rotary Club of Iyaganku-Ibadan, Rotarian Dayo Famoyegun.
At the handing over ceremony held at the Rotary Youth Center, Iyaganku Ibadan, meritorious award were given to the deserving Rotarians and stakeholders in different walks of life in appreciating their unending contributions to serve humanity.
Among the awardees:
— Rotarian Batife Funkeapo Ken, the District Governor Nominee Designate (DGND) DG for the 2025-2026 Rotary year.
Rotarian Batife Funkeakpo Ken, born into the family of High Chief Batife Kolawole, Onana of Agwobiri Quarters in Arogbo, Ese-Odo Local Government, the Ijaw speaking Area of Ondo State.
Batife Ken lost his father at a tender age but in his quest for knowledge and better future, he did not allow that to halt his pursuit for high attainment aside his vast educational achievement he rose to the peak leadership in Rotary.
With that, it was an honour to honor the DG Designate Nominee with the ‘Excellent Boy Child Award.’
— Also awarding a distinguished and humanitarian Rotarian Soji Ijidale with a Leadership Award of excellence for using his vocation to secure an international project collaboration for the club during the 2022/2023 Rotary year.
— Rotarian Olaniyi Okin, Membership Chair for marking all the club members birthday and wedding anniversary.
— Dr. (Mrs.) Oyebola Ayeni bagged the Excellent Girl Child Award, quite and amiable personality for using her virtues as a young girl to secure landmark achievements for educational growth, one of such is the Metamorphosis of EduServe Consult (ESC Campus) into Lead City University and Lead City International School. This pursuit changed her status from Program Director to Registrar.
