A chieftain of All Progressive Congress in Ona Ara, Mr Bolaji Adegoke Gbengbeleku has congratulates the new elevated Ibadan chiefs from Ona Ara, Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin, third term Senator of Oyo Central and Engr Dotun Sanusi, CEO Ilaji Hotel and Resorts.


The elevation which came a few weeks as a result of the demise of High Chief Lateef Oyelade, necessitated the elevating of other chiefs behind the deceased in the civil line of Ibadan Chieftaincy culture.


In a press release made on Saturday morning by the young Ona-Ara Philanthropist and Politician, Bolaji Gbengbeleku expressed his undiluted appreciation to Ibadan Mogajis for their doggedness and support towards the success of the elevation process of Mogaji Oja’ba to Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland

He congratulates Senator Teslim Folarin who moved from Asaaju Olubadan to Ikolaba Olubadan of Ibadanland and Engr. Dotun Sanusi who before was Apesinola of Ibadan and Mogaji Oja’ba, now the Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland. 


In his congratulatory message, Bolaji stressed that the new elevated chiefs will continue in their respective capacity to make Ibadan more peaceful and united, “With joy in my heart I congratulate our Fathers, our prides in Ona Ara, Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin and Engr Dotun Sanusi on their new attainment of Chieftaincy of Ibadanland.”


“Their elevation as Ikolaba and Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland respectively was well deserved and important. Their contributions towards the peaceful coexistence and unity experiences in Ibadan can not be overlooked.”


“Sirs, I pray you shall enjoy this new role in good health and wealth. I also use this opportunity to appreciate Ibadan Mogajis for their support and contributions towards this historical elevation, Agba’yin ada’le o.”

The elevation’s event of these Ibadan chiefs was held yesterday 6th of October, 2023 at the palace of Olubadan of Ibadan, His Imperial Majesty Oba (Dr.) Mohood Olalekan Balogun, (Alli Okunmade II) with the attendance of all news Obas in Ibadan and Other prominents Ibadan sons and daughters across the globe.
