The Supreme Court has on Thursday, validated President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as the legitimate winner of the presidential election that held in the country on February 25.
The seven-member panel in their unanimous judgement dismisses the appeal for admittance of fresh evidence against President Tinubu by the PDP Candidate, Alh. Atiku Abubakar.
Below are some of the snippets of the Supreme Court verdicts:
~ Supreme Court also ruled that INEC’s Failure to Transmit Elections Results Electronically is not Ground To Nullify Tinubu’s Election.
~ Supreme Court also ruled that scoring of 25% of votes in the FCT is not a mandatory requirement for Tinubu to become president. Justice Okoro held that the case lacks merit and has been dismissed.
~The application by Atiku to add the case of forgery of Chicago State University Certificate by Tinubu to the case at the Supreme Court has been rejected and dismissed by the court.
~ The statements given by the state & national collation agents as witnesses were hearsay, as they were not present in all the polling units. ©SR
