The Nigeria Customs Service has commended the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC,  for continuously sustaining collaborative ties with various stakeholders in the anti- corruption fight.

This commendation was given  on Wednesday, November 15,  2023 in Kaduna by Assistant Comptroller General of Customs,  ACG I.Q Ogbudu who led a team of senior officers in the Customs  Zone B Headquarters on a courtesy visit to the Kaduna Zonal Command of the EFCC. 

Ogbudu says that synergy with the  EFCC always encourages and promotes understanding on how best to render support to the Commission in the anti- graft crusade.   She explained that law  enforcement agencies  needed to be closely knitted  “as a tree cannot  make a forest.  Let’s work as a team in order to achieve our  collective mandates”.  She also applauded the appointment of women as Zonal Commanders in the EFCC.

Responding, the Acting Zonal Commander, Kaduna Zonal Command, Assistant Commander of the EFCC,  ACE I Aisha Abubakar welcomed the entourage and noted that the Nigeria Customs Service has always been supportive of the anti- corruption fight “because we have over the years carried out so many tasks together geared towards making our country a safe and habitable place”. 

She cautioned  that there is still a lot to do as  stakeholders working towards one purpose of supprting government  to achieve its set goals and objectives. She stressed that law enforcement agencies must always exhibit  professionalism, integrity, hardwork and collaboration in the course of carrying out their assignments.
