The Senate arm of the National Assembly has been put in confusion over the continuation of the screening of one of the President Bola Tinubu’s ministerial nominee, Festus Kenyamo SAN.
A motion from a Senator representing Abia Central Senatorial District, Darlington Nwokocha, on Monday, requesting for the suspension of the ministerial screening of a nominee from Delta State, Festus Keyamo.
The motion which was seconded by Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, from the Abia-South Senatorial District. forced the Senate to a voice vote presided over by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, but the senators were divided on the matter.
The red chamber immediately erupted into a rowdy session.
Festus Keyamo we can remember, refused to honour the 9th National Assembly summons in the last administration.
