A chieftain of All Progressive Congress (APC), Hon. Akinjide Kazeem Akinola of Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency has congratulated Mr. Zaccheaus Adedeji Adelabu over his appointment as Federal Inland Revenue (FIRS) Acting Chairman as announced by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.
Akinjide in his congratulatory message to the Ogbomosho-born politician and financial expert, Zaccheaus Adelabu, appreciates his professional and intellectual capacity and capability he is known for over the years, and also his zeal to make this country a greater one under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu.
According to the Ibadan-born politician and businessman, Akinjide said “The appointment is a testament that Zaccheaus Adedeji is one of the prides of Oyo State at national level. His previous role as Special Adviser to President on Revenue proved that he knows what the role is all about, and the reason why President Tinubu handed over the FIRS to him for reformation and repositioning. Though as acting Chairman, I can attest to one thing, he will deliver the mandate given to him in that acting capacity.”
“He has the track record of achievement in that field. He was a former finance commissioner in his home state for 33 years under the late former Governor Abiola Ajimobi. He has led a team of less than 50 personnel to institute a Medium-Term Financial (MTF) strategy for the overall framework of Financial and Budgetary management of Oyo state. He was also a former Executive Secretary/CEO of the National Sugar Development Council (NSDC). The records are out there to prove his capacity and capability to deliver.”
