A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress APC in Oyo State, Hon. Adio Afeez has visited the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, His Excellency, George Akume in his office to discuss issues of Youth opportunities and national development.
Adio while briefing newsmen explained that, his purpose of visit and meeting was to seeks for a more purposeful opportunities for the teeming population of Nigerian youths.
“I had a crucial meeting with our SGF, Former Governor of Benue State, His Excellency George Akume on how to develop our dear country more.”
“Foremost on our discussion is the creation of more job opportunities for youths as a crucial factor for economic growth and youth empowerment.” He added
“This will provide access to education and training programs focused on technology and skills development, we also emphasized the need to equip young individuals with the tools they need to succeed in the changing job market. Additionally, fostering partnerships between the government, private sector, and civil society can help create an environment that supports entrepreneurship and innovation, leading to the creation of new job opportunities.”
“We both agreed that it is important to prioritize investments in sectors that have the potential for growth and are aligned with global trends, such as renewable energy, digital technology, and sustainable industries. By doing so, we can ensure that young people have a wide range of job opportunities available to them and can contribute to the overall economic development of our dear country.” Adio concluded.
