The Vice Chancellor of the prestigious premier University of Ibadan, Professor Kayode O. Adebowale, mni, FAS, fspsp, has urged the newly admitted students of the institution to be of good conduct in and out of the school as they have become the ambassador of the university.

This call was made by the university Vice Chancellor while delivering his matriculation address at the International Conference Center where he cautions the fresh students to diligently manage their new earned freedom as university environment is a place of freedom where nobody wakes anybody up in the morning to go for class, check up to date notes, neither there were any home lessons teachers and the likes.

It is then important for such a freedom to be diligently and properly managed.

Vice Chancellor, Adebowale said “For probably the first time in your lives, you have almost absolute freedom. May I tell you, what you make out of university and what you turn out to be in a life are both functions of how you manage this new found freedom.”

“You must equally note that the university is a place of freedom, but it is a freedom guided by rules. There are rules guiding engagements in the university.” He added.
