As the ancient town of Oyo celebrates the enthronement of its new monarch, His Imperial Majesty Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade I, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and aspirant for Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Dr. Olamide Junaid, has extended her heartfelt congratulations to the new Alaafin, the people of Oyo, and the entire Yorubaland.
In her message of felicitation, the Ibadan-born community developer and politician described Oba Owoade I as a true reflection of destiny, one who symbolizes hope, good fortune, and a promising future for Oyo and the Yoruba race.
“Oyo town and Yorubaland are entering a new era of opportunities and development under the reign of this universal monarch, who is evidently committed to modern transformation while preserving our rich cultural heritage,” Dr. Junaid said.
She emphasized that the Alaafin’s ascension to the throne serves as a profound lesson in faith and destiny. “God is the ultimate architect of our lives. While human effort is essential, we must also trust in divine timing and purpose,” she noted.
